Factors to consider – choosing the best headphones for Yamaha digital piano brands
YAMAHA BRAND
Your headphones don’t have to be Yamaha brand – The 5th option on our table above – the highly popular Lyx-Pro Has-15 headphones will work great with your digital piano… but Yamaha do make excellent quality headphones. If you’ve specifically chosen a Yamaha digital piano, you may want to stick with the best! Yamaha, a Japanese company, is well-known for superior quality.
LONG ENOUGH LEAD
When choosing headphones to use with your digital piano, make sure you have a long enough lead. Although most connections for headphones are at the front, you need to be comfortable and have enough lead so that it won’t get in your way.
6.35mm CONNECTOR
Make sure your headphones have a 6.35mm connection. Otherwise you’ll need an adapter. Here’s the MOBOREST 3.5mm M to 6.35mm F Stereo Pure Copper Adapter.
WIRED HEADPHONES (DON’T CHOOSE WIRELESS!)
It is not a good idea to use wireless headphones with your musical instrument. There is a delay- it is minimal and you wouldn’t notice it listening to recorded music- but listening to yourself play, you will notice! Use wired headphones. See more on Yamaha’s official site here.
WHERE TO CONNECT YOUR HEADPHONES
If you haven’t figured this out, here’s a link to Yamaha’s site again to show where the connection is.
